Pasta with Spicy Sausages
Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 14.1 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Chicken Broth - 2 cups
- Baking Tomatoes - 9.9 oz
- 10% cream - ½ cup
- Penne rigate - 8.1 oz
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Scallions - 1 bunch
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers. Add the sliced sausages and onion and cook until browned, about 4 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for another 30 seconds.
Step 2
Add the broth, tomatoes, cream, pasta, salt, and pepper and stir. Bring to a boil, cover the skillet, and reduce the heat to medium-low. Simmer until the pasta is tender, about 15 minutes.
Step 3
Remove the skillet from heat and stir in 0.5 cup of cheese. Sprinkle the remaining cheese and green onion on top. Broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly and browned.
