Ingredients
- Canned tuna in its own juice - 15.9 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Marinara sauce - 1 cup
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Chili Flakes - ¼ teaspoon
- Pitted olives - 2.8 oz
- Spaghetti - 10.6 oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large bowl, mash the tuna. In a small skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and add the garlic. Cook, stirring, until fragrant. Remove from heat and add to the tuna. Stir in the parsley or basil.
Step 2
Add the marinara sauce to the skillet, heat it up, and add the spices along with the red pepper flakes. Next, add the olives.
Step 3
In a large pot of salted water, cook the pasta until al dente according to the package instructions. Add 2 tablespoons of the pasta water to the tuna.
Step 4
When the pasta is ready, drain it and transfer it to the bowl with the tuna. Add the marinara sauce with olives, mix, and serve with grated Parmesan.
