Description
For those who do not eat meat, the bacon in this recipe can be replaced with spinach or you can simply use mushrooms with basil. The result will still be magnificent!
Ingredients
- Fettuccine Pasta - 8.8 oz
- Fresh Mushrooms - 7.1 oz
- Bacon - 3.5 oz
- Basil - 1 bunch
- 10% cream - 7 fl oz
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Wheat Flour - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the frozen mix of wild mushrooms (make sure it includes porcini mushrooms) in slightly salted water for 5–7 minutes. Then, strain the mushroom broth and transfer the mushrooms to a frying pan or sauté pan.
Step 2
In the prepared mushroom broth, cook the pasta until almost al dente. You can add a little bay leaf. Then, drain the water through a colander.
Step 3
In a skillet with the cooked mushrooms, add a little olive oil and diced bacon, and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Pour in the cream and let all the ingredients mingle and simmer on low heat for a few more minutes.
Step 4
Add the chopped basil and the ground pepper mix. If the sauce seems too thin, you can add a little flour to thicken it.
Step 5
Add the pasta from the colander to the mushrooms, mix everything together, and let it cook for another 1-2 minutes over the heat.
Step 6
Before serving, you can sprinkle some grated Parmesan on top.
