Penne with Tuna
Ingredients
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Canned tuna in its own juice - 12.3 oz
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Penne rigate - 14.1 oz
- Chinese green beans - 10.6 oz
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - a pinch
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Make a cross cut on the tomatoes, dip them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a sieve and peel off the skin. Dice the flesh.
Step 2
Remove the seeds from the bell peppers and cut them into strips.
Step 3
Break the tuna into pieces.
Step 4
Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
Step 5
Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water for 5 minutes. Add the green beans and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
Step 6
Sauté the onion and garlic in vegetable oil. Stir in the tomatoes and bell pepper, and simmer for 5 minutes.
Step 7
Drain the pasta and green beans and mix them with the tuna into the vegetables. Leave on the heat for another 2 minutes. Season to taste.
