Peppered tuna steaks with wasabi dressing

Ingredients

  • Pompano fillet - 2 lbs
  • Soy Sauce - 3 tablespoons
  • Ground Black Pepper - 3 tablespoons
  • Asparagus - 8.8 oz
  • Spanish onions - 2 pieces
  • Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Natural Yogurt - 1.8 oz
  • Mayonnaise - 3 tablespoons
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Wasabi - 2 teaspoons
  • Dill - 1 tablespoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the grill. Cut the tuna fillet into 4 steaks and mix with soy sauce, then generously sprinkle with pepper and press lightly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for a while.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix the wasabi paste, yogurt, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and chopped dill.

Step 3

Toss the asparagus and quartered onion with oil. Grill the vegetables for about 5 minutes. Keep warm.

Step 4

Grill the tuna for 3-5 minutes, turning once, or until it is browned. The tuna should remain slightly pink inside. Cooking time depends on the thickness of the steaks. Slice each piece into thin strips.

Step 5

On plates, arrange the asparagus and onion, top with pieces of tuna, and drizzle with the dressing.
