Description
The "Coffee Haven" is an intimate café in the heart of the city. Light snacks, desserts, breakfasts, and hearty meals that travelers simply cannot do without. These are traditional cutlets without any culinary tricks: pike, vegetables, bread, and cream. They are served with tartar sauce and mashed potatoes. Recipe adapted from a culinary guidebook.

- Carrot - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 3.5 oz
- Butter - 3.7 oz
- White bread - 1.8 oz
- Cream - 2 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - 0.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - to taste
- Potato - 22.9 oz
- Milk - 3 fl oz
- Gherkins - 2.5 oz
- Sour Cream - 3.5 oz
- Mayonnaise - 2.6 oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 0 fl oz

Step by Step guide
Step 1
For the patties, dice the carrot and onion, and sauté them in butter until golden brown. Soak the crustless white bread in cream.
Step 2
Pass the fish, sautéed vegetables, and bread through a meat grinder. Add the egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well and shape into patties weighing 80–100 grams. Fry in vegetable oil on both sides, then finish cooking in the oven at 374°F.
Step 3
For the puree, boil the potatoes in water. Then drain the water, add warm milk, softened butter, salt, mix everything together, and pass through a sieve.
Step 4
For the tartar sauce, grate the cucumbers finely, then add sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic oil, and salt. Mix until well combined.
Step 5
Serve the fried patties with mashed potatoes and tartar sauce. Garnish with a lemon wedge, cherry tomatoes, and herbs.
