Pilaf with Cucumber
Ingredients
- Courgette - 7.1 oz
- Rice - 5.6 oz
- Carrot - 4.9 oz
- Onion - 1.8 oz
- Fat - to taste
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 0.5 oz
- Scallions - 0.4 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Bay leaf - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Soak the rice in salted water.
Step 2
Cut the boiled cucumber into small pieces and fry in a hot pan with fat until semi-cooked.
Step 3
Then add the tomato paste and fry until fully cooked.
Step 4
Sauté the sliced onion and carrot, place them in a pot, add the rice, black pepper, bay leaf, salt, and cook for 20–25 minutes with a tightly closed lid on low heat.
Step 5
When serving, mound the pilaf on a plate and sprinkle with green onion.
