- Basmati rice - 9.7 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh Mushrooms - 8.8 oz
- Sweet Red Onion - 1 bunch
- Hot-Smoked Muksun Fillet - 12.3 oz
- Cilantro - 0.7 oz
- Walnuts - 2 teaspoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the rice in salted water until ready, about 25 minutes. Drain.
Step 2
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a deep skillet and sauté the thinly sliced mushrooms for 3 minutes. Add the finely chopped salad onion, reserving a small amount for garnish, and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Step 3
Add the rice and pieces of smoked mackerel. Cook for a few minutes, gently stirring, until everything is heated through.
Step 4
Before serving, add the chopped cilantro and drizzle with walnut oil. Sprinkle with the reserved salad onion and freshly ground black pepper.
