Description
Well-prepared dough can be rolled out very, very thin with ease. When making pizza, it will not rise and won't turn your pizza into a pie. One ball of dough makes one large pizza. The second ball can be frozen and used to make pizza another time.
Ingredients
- Water - ⅔ glasses
- Wheat Flour - 2 glasses
- Dry yeast - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour warm water over the yeast. Mix the mixture thoroughly to eliminate any lumps.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour and salt. Add the yeast and knead the dough.
Step 3
Transfer the dough from the bowl to a dry, flour-dusted surface, and continue kneading, adding more flour if necessary, until the dough becomes soft and elastic (about 10 minutes).
Step 4
Lightly grease a large bowl with olive oil. Place the dough in the bowl, turning it to coat all sides with the oil.
Step 5
Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm, draft-free area for 1.5 hours (until the dough doubles in size).
Step 6
Flatten the dough with your fists. Divide it into 2 portions and roll each into a ball.
Step 7
Place the dough balls on a floured surface and cover each with plastic wrap. Let them rest for 60 minutes.
