Ingredients
- Olive Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Sausages - 5.3 oz
- Nigella Seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Coarse Salt - ¼ teaspoon
- Radicchio Salad - 1 bunch
- Pizza Flour - 17.6 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Melted Cheese - 3.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 356°F and place a pizza pan or baking sheet inside to heat up.
Step 2
Heat a skillet with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the fennel seeds and sausage meat. Mix well and sauté over medium heat until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes, breaking up the meat.
Step 3
Shred the radicchio into thin strips and transfer it to a bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 0.25 teaspoon of coarse salt, and mix well. Spread the radicchio on the pizza pan and place it in the oven for about 10 minutes, stirring until it begins to caramelize. Transfer the radicchio to a plate and return the pan to the oven. Increase the temperature to 446°F.
Step 4
Roll out the dough to fit the shape of the pan and brush with the remaining olive oil. Top with the sautéed sausage, radicchio, and lightly sprinkle with black pepper.
Step 5
Transfer the dough onto parchment paper and then onto the heated pan, and bake in the oven for about 12-16 minutes until golden brown. Five minutes before it's done, sprinkle the pizza with mozzarella.
Step 6
Remove from the oven and cut into segments. Serve hot.
