Description
Plum, combined with vanilla, immediately brings to mind some French desserts like a great plum tart. The plums for this jelly can be any variety: purple, red, or yellow.
Ingredients
- Plums - 12.3 oz
- Sugar - 3.5 oz
- Starch film - 1.1 oz
- Water - 1¼ l
- Vanilla Pod - ¼ pieces
Step by Step guide

Prepare all the ingredients.

Serve the plum jelly either hot or chilled.
Step 2
In a pot, bring 1 liter of water to a boil with sugar and a vanilla bean.
Step 3
Add pitted plums, bring to a boil, and cook for 5–7 minutes.
Step 4
Remove the vanilla pod.
Step 5
Blend the compote with an immersion blender.
Step 6
Strain the puree through a sieve to remove the skins. Return it to the heat.
Step 7
Mix the remaining water with the starch until smooth.
Step 8
Pour the starch solution into the saucepan and bring it back to a boil, whisking constantly.
Step 9
When the jelly becomes smooth and starts to thicken, remove it from the heat.
