Ingredients
- Garlic - 1 head
- Salted pork belly - 2 lbs
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Bay leaf - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rub the pork belly (not necessarily pork) with salt, pepper, and minced garlic, and layer with bay leaves. Let it marinate for about an hour.
Step 2
Wrap the marinated pork belly tightly in plastic wrap or place it in a plastic bag, remove the air, and twist. Place the resulting bundle in a second bag. Tie the bags.
Step 3
Place the bags with the pork belly in a pot of cold water, cover the pot with a lid, and put it on the heat. Once boiling, cook on low heat for 2 hours.
Step 4
Turn off the heat and let the pork belly cool in the water it was cooked in. Once cooled, remove the pork belly from the bags. Wrap it in foil and place it in the refrigerator. However, it is also perfectly fine to eat warm.
