Description
Pork chop with sage and cream
Ingredients
- Pork Skewers - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - ½ heads
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 spoons
- 10% cream - 1 fl oz
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 0,2 bunches
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1½ spoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Season the pork chop with salt and pepper.
Step 2
Heat oil in a heavy skillet and brown the meat on both sides (6 minutes). Use tongs to transfer it to a plate.
Step 3
Drain almost all the fat from the saucepan (leaving about 1 tablespoon) and, reducing the heat, sauté the finely chopped onion for 3-4 minutes. Add vinegar to the onion and, stirring, wait for the liquid to evaporate (about 3 seconds).
Step 4
Return the meat to the saucepan, pour in half a glass of water and cream, and add finely chopped sage and parsley leaves. Simmer uncovered for about 5-6 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the meat from the saucepan and place it on a clean plate.
Step 6
While the meat is resting, continue to simmer the sauce, stirring constantly, until the liquid has reduced to about 3 tablespoons.
Step 7
Serve the cooked pork with sauce, mashed potatoes, and fresh parsley.
