Pork Chops with Sage

Ingredients

  • Pork Skewers - 4 pieces
  • Onion - 2 pieces
  • Thyme - ½ bunch
  • Sage - 15 leaves
  • Butter - 1.8 oz
  • Ocean salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 320°F.

Step 2

Place the pork chops in a single layer at the bottom of a baking dish or casserole. Season well with salt and pepper. Slice the onion into rings, then cut them in half. Distribute the onion over and between the chops. Sprinkle with thyme, dried and fresh sage, and place the butter on top. Season again with salt and pepper.

Step 3

Cover the dish tightly with a lid or seal with foil. Cook for approximately 1 ½ hours, occasionally basting the pork with the rendered fat and checking for doneness with a sharp knife. Serve the chops topped with onion, drizzled with the juices.
