Description
The optimal side dish for this meat is rice or vegetables. You can also add coarsely chopped onion and bell pepper during the final cooking stage. The proportions for the sauce can be adjusted according to your taste. You can also substitute pork with chicken, fish, etc.
Ingredients
- Pork Blood - 17.6 oz
- Corn Starch - 8 tablespoons
- Water - 1 fl oz
- Rice Vinegar for Sushi - 3 tablespoons
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Soy Sauce - 1 tablespoon
- Vegetable Oil - 13 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Thinly slice the pork into pieces about 5 mm thick.
Step 2
Dissolve the cornstarch in water to create a slightly thick liquid. This will be the batter for the meat.
Step 3
Coat the meat in the batter.
Step 4
Next, heat the vegetable oil in a pan on maximum heat. Then reduce to just above medium. Place the meat in the pan piece by piece; it will be done in several batches. Fry until a crust forms, but do not overcook to a golden brown, as this will make the meat tough and less tasty.
Step 5
Transfer each batch to a plate. Once all pieces are fried, return them to the pan, reduce the heat to just below medium. While the meat cooks through both outside and inside, start preparing the sweet and sour sauce.
Step 6
In a bowl, mix the tomato paste, sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce.
Step 7
Once the sauce is ready, drain the vegetable oil from the pan and pour the sauce over the battered meat.
