Pork in Ginger Syrup
Ingredients
- Pork Blood - 14.1 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - ½ piece
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Water - 1 cup
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Soy Sauce - 1 cup
- Salt - to taste
- Chinese green beans - 3.5 oz
- Napa Cabbage - 6.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the pork into strips and fry until golden brown in a deep skillet.
Step 2
Pour water into the skillet and simmer the pork over low heat for 40 minutes.
Step 3
Add soy sauce and sugar to the skillet. Cook over high heat until the liquid volume is reduced by half.
Step 4
Grate the ginger root on a coarse grater. Add it to the skillet with the syrup and mix. Cover with a lid and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
Step 5
Slice the onion into half rings, cut the bell pepper (preferably 1 red and 1 yellow), and julienne the carrot and napa cabbage. If the green beans are frozen, thaw them.
Step 6
Add the vegetables to the meat and cook, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes. Season with salt to taste.
