Pork in Sweet Soy Sauce
Ingredients
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Pork Blood - 2 lbs
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 piece
- Soy Sauce - 9 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Chicken Broth - 3 cups
- Salad Potatoes - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a saucepan, sauté a handful of finely chopped onion and 3 cloves of garlic over low heat, then add diced pork (about 1 kg) and a piece of peeled, finely chopped ginger root.
Step 2
Sauté everything for about 2 minutes, then pour in the soy sauce and season with black pepper to taste.
Step 3
Pour 3 cups of chicken broth into the saucepan, add a whole hot pepper, and simmer the meat uncovered over the lowest heat.
Step 4
After 20 minutes, drain the liquid, place it on the heat, and reduce it by half.
Step 5
Allow the meat to caramelize in the saucepan, pour in the reduced sauce, and simmer for another 7–10 minutes.
Step 6
Serve with boiled potatoes.
