Ingredients
- Pork Neck - 4 lbs
- Carrot - 2 pieces
- Garlic - 2 heads
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Peel the carrot and cut it into sticks about 1 cm thick.
Step 3
Peel the garlic, slice the larger cloves lengthwise, and leave the smaller ones whole.
Step 4
Make deep diagonal cuts in the pork neck.
Step 5
Insert a piece of carrot and garlic into each slit. Set aside 1-2 cloves of garlic.
Step 6
Rub the meat with salt and pepper.
Step 7
Crush the remaining garlic using a garlic press and rub it onto the meat as well.
Step 8
Place the meat in a roasting bag, add the sliced carrots if there are any left, release the air from the bag, and tie it closed. At this stage, you can stop and store the meat in the refrigerator — it can be kept this way for up to 2 days.
Step 9
Place the meat in an oven preheated to 320°F for 2 hours.
Step 10
Then increase the temperature to 428°F, open the cooking bag, and return it to the oven for an additional 15 minutes to allow the meat to brown.
Step 11
Slice the cooked pork into thick pieces and serve it at the table. The cooled meat can also be served as a cold appetizer.
