Pork Loin in a Skillet
Ingredients
- Pork tenderloin - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 1½ tablespoons
- Goat cheese - 1.1 oz
- Canned Jalapeño Peppers - 0.4 oz
- Mayonnaise - 1 tablespoon
- Basil - 2 sprigs
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Mild Chili Spice - to taste
- Sumac - to taste
- Ocean salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the steak in the heated oil in the skillet and season with salt.
Step 2
Slice the cheese very thinly.
Step 3
Once the bottom side is browned, flip it over and reduce the heat to medium.
Step 4
Season with black pepper.
Step 5
Cover with a lid.
Step 6
After 5 minutes, flip it over.
Step 7
Season with chili pepper and sumac. Cover with a lid again.
Step 8
After 2–3 minutes, flip it over.
Step 9
Place the cheese on top and cover with a lid. Reduce the heat a bit more.
Step 10
Once the cheese melts, remove from heat and transfer to a plate. Top with jalapeños.
Step 11
Spread with mayonnaise, garnish with herbs, and serve.
