Pork Rib Pilaf
Ingredients
- Pork Skewers - 35.3 oz
- Basmati rice - 35.3 oz
- Turnips - 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 heads
- Black Cumin (Cumin) - to taste
- Khmeli-suneli - to taste
- Turmeric - to taste
- Lemon-Pepper Mix - to taste
- Water - 20 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Safflower Oil - 3 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the pork ribs, dry them with a paper towel, and cut them into portion-sized pieces.
Step 2
Cut the carrots into medium strips.
Step 3
Slice the onion into half-rings.
Step 4
Place the rice in a deep bowl and rinse it several times with water until the water is clear.
Step 5
Pour sunflower oil into a cauldron and heat it until bubbles appear. Add the ribs and stir.
Step 6
After 3 minutes, add the onion and stir again.
Step 7
Then add the carrots, stir, and fry until golden brown.
Step 8
Prepare the spices in equal proportions.
Step 9
Add salt, turmeric, khmeli-suneli, cumin, and pepper mix to the ribs. Stir again.
Step 10
Pour the rice into the cauldron and spread it evenly over the surface of the ribs.
Step 11
Add enough water to completely cover the rice. The amount of water needed may vary depending on the size of the cooking vessel.
Step 12
Cover with a lid and simmer for 10–15 minutes. It is important not to mix the rice with the ribs; they should remain underneath.
Step 13
When most of the water has evaporated, gather the rice into a mound to steam it, and cover with the lid again.
Step 14
5 minutes before it’s done, stir the ribs and rice.
Step 15
Serve the pilaf hot.
