Pork Ribs in a Pot
Ingredients
- Pork Skewers - 2 lbs
- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 2 pieces
- Krakow Sausage - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 head
- Wheat Flour - 3 tablespoons
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Ground Caraway - 1 teaspoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion and garlic.
Step 2
Cut both sausages into thick slices.
Step 3
Trim the fat from the pork ribs and render it in a skillet. Remove the cracklings, and in the rendered fat, sauté the ribs cut into pieces until golden brown. At the end, add the sausage and let it sauté for a bit.
Step 4
Transfer the sautéed ribs with sausage to a pot, place the onion and garlic in the skillet, sauté for a couple of minutes while stirring, then add the flour and sauté for 2 minutes.
Step 5
Gradually pour in 3 cups of water into the skillet while constantly stirring to avoid lumps.
Step 6
Bring to a boil and pour into the pot with the ribs.
Step 7
Add salt, pepper, bay leaf, and caraway seeds, cover with a lid, and place the pot in a preheated oven at 160°C (320°F) for 1 hour.
