Pork Ribs with Ginger

Ingredients

  • Pork Skewers - 2 lbs
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Grated Ginger Root - 1 teaspoon
  • Ketchup - 2 tablespoons
  • Honey - 1 teaspoon
  • Yakiniku sauce - 6 tablespoons
  • Soy Sauce - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground clove - 3 pieces
  • Herbes de Provence - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Rinse the ribs well, dry them with a paper towel, and remove excess fat.

Cut the pork ribs into serving pieces.

Peel 4 cloves of garlic and crush them.

Peel the ginger root and finely chop it.

In a separate bowl, combine the garlic, ginger, Herbes de Provence, pepper, salt, and 3 cloves. Mix well.

Add ketchup, soy sauce, teriyaki sauce, and honey to this mixture. Stir until smooth.

Slice the onion into half rings.

Transfer the ribs to a container. Press the onion with your hands to release some juice, and add it to the ribs.

Drizzle with lemon juice.

Pour the sauce over the pork ribs, mix well to coat the meat with the marinade, and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Place the marinated ribs in a baking bag, seal tightly at the edges, and place in a preheated oven at 392°F for 50–60 minutes. The baking bag does not need to be pierced.

15 minutes before the cooking time is up, remove the dish from the oven, carefully cut and unfold the bag. Return it to the oven and bake until a golden crust forms. You can also use the grill setting.
