Description
Pork stewed with ginger and curry
Ingredients
- Pork tenderloin - 17.6 oz
- Grated Ginger Root - 1 tablespoon
- Red Curry Powder - 2 tablespoons
- Sour Cream - 3 tablespoons
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 1½ tablespoons
- Wheat Flour - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cooking method
Step 2
Rinse the pork, dry it thoroughly with paper towels, and cut it into small cubes. Sprinkle with pepper and mix.
Step 3
In preheated oil over high heat, quickly fry the meat for about 2.5 to 3.5 minutes: as soon as the meat cubes turn light on all sides and start to brown, sprinkle with flour, stirring, and fry for another minute or so.
Step 4
Pour in a little more than half a glass of hot water. While the meat is coming to a boil, mix the tomato paste and sour cream with ginger and curry, dilute with water, and add to the skillet. There should be enough liquid to almost cover the meat.
Step 5
Simmer the pork in a covered skillet over low heat for about half an hour. Add salt to the pork closer to the end of cooking.
Step 6
It’s a matter of taste, of course, but the best side dish for this meat is boiled rice.
