Description
You can substitute the ramen noodles with rice noodles, egg noodles, buckwheat noodles, or any other Asian noodles that are typically stir-fried in a wok with vegetables, meat, and a variety of sauces.
Ingredients
- Udon Noodles - 3.5 oz
- Pork tenderloin - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 0.7 oz
- Chinese green beans - 0.7 oz
- Broccoli - 0.7 oz
- Sweet Pepper - 0.7 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, bring water to a boil, lightly salt it, and cook the ramen noodles for about five to six minutes. Drain the noodles in a colander, rinse them thoroughly with cold water, and set aside to dry.
Step 2
Slice the onion into thin half-rings, and cut the bell pepper (preferably red for color) into long thin strips. Cut the broccoli florets in half, trim the tough ends off the green beans, and chop them into small pieces.
Step 3
In a small pot, bring water to a boil and add the broccoli and green beans. Blanch for three to four minutes, then drain in a colander and immediately rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
Step 4
Slice the pork tenderloin into small flat pieces about 5 mm thick, no more. Lightly sprinkle with salt and ground black pepper.
Step 5
In a deep skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil until hot, add the pork, and quickly stir-fry, constantly stirring with a wooden spoon.
Step 6
Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet, stir, and sauté for one minute. Then, add the broccoli and beans, mix again, and cook everything together over high heat for another couple of minutes.
Step 7
Add the cooked ramen noodles to the skillet, pour in the soy sauce, and gently toss the noodles with the vegetables and meat, taking care not to turn the contents of the skillet into a mush.
Step 8
Transfer the cooked noodles to a deep plate and drizzle with the sauce from the bottom of the pan. If there isn't much liquid left in the pan, add a teaspoon of soy sauce directly to the plate.
