Pork with Apples and Cider
Ingredients
- Onion - 2 heads
- Vegetable Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Clear Apple Juice - 2 pieces
- Brown Sugar - 2 teaspoons
- Butter - 0.4 oz
- Pork Skewers - 4 pieces
- Whipped Cream - 4 tablespoons
- Cider - 4 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet, add the chopped onion, and sauté for 5 minutes until soft. Remove from the skillet.
Step 2
Add the apple slices to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until they start to soften but do not break apart. Add the sugar and butter, stirring in the skillet until the apples begin to caramelize. Transfer the apples to the onions.
Step 3
Place the meat in the skillet, sprinkle with spices, and cook for 4 minutes on each side. Add the apples and onions back to the skillet, pour in the cider, and bring to a boil. Immediately add the cream and shake the skillet. Let it simmer for 1 minute, season with spices, and serve with potatoes and a green salad.
