Ingredients

  • Butter - 0.9 oz
  • Onion - 2 heads
  • Garlic - 1 clove
  • Bacon - 7.1 oz
  • Potato - 31.7 oz
  • Cream 22% - 25 fl oz
  • Nutmeg - ¼ spoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 338°F. Melt the butter in a skillet, add the onion and garlic. Cook for about 10 minutes, until the onion is soft but not browned.

Step 2

In a separate skillet, cook the bacon until crispy.

Step 3

In a greased baking dish, layer slices of potatoes, onions, and bacon, seasoning with salt and pepper. Mix the cream and season with nutmeg.

Step 4

Drizzle the casserole with cream and bake in the oven for one and a half hours, until the potatoes are cooked through. Serve with a green salad.
