- Potato - 2 lbs
- Sour Cream - 7.1 oz
- Spinach - 10.6 oz
- Garlic - 8 cloves
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Peel the potatoes and boil them in salted water until tender. You can check if they are ready by inserting a knife into the side of a potato; if it slides out easily, they are done.
Step 2
Drain the water and place the potatoes in a warm spot, while melting butter in a pan and sautéing finely chopped garlic in it.
Step 3
As soon as the garlic begins to smell fragrant, add the spinach leaves to the skillet and stir until they wilt, as if all the life force has left the greens and infused into the sauce. Then season the mixture in the skillet with salt and pepper. Finally, combine it with the potatoes and sour cream using a large fork.
Step 4
Then transfer the mixture to a baking dish, brush the top with beaten egg, and place it in an oven preheated to 356°F for ten minutes.
