Potato Casserole with Minced Meat and Broccoli
Ingredients
- Salad Potatoes - 2 lbs
- Veal Mince - 14.1 oz
- Broccoli - 12.3 oz
- Sour Cream - 2 tablespoons
- Butter - 1.4 oz
- Bay leaf - to taste
- Green peppercorns - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2
Sauté the minced meat for two minutes.
Step 3
Add broccoli to the minced meat. Stir and simmer covered for 5–7 minutes.
Step 4
Season with salt to taste.
Step 5
Add your favorite spices, such as khmeli-suneli. Stir and sauté for another 2 minutes until ready.
Step 6
Boil the potatoes in salted water, adding bay leaf and peppercorns.
Step 7
Mash the potatoes well, adding butter.
Step 8
Spread half of the potato mixture in a baking dish.
Step 9
Layer the sautéed minced meat with broccoli on top of the potatoes.
Step 10
Then spread the remaining potato mixture over the meat.
Step 11
Carefully smooth the potato over the entire surface.
Step 12
Spread a thin layer of sour cream (or mayonnaise) over the casserole.
Step 13
Bake in the oven for 20–25 minutes until golden brown.
