Ingredients
- Potato - 3 pieces
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Water - 8 fl oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Hard Cheese - 2.5 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Nutmeg - to taste
- Sour Cream - 5.3 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine the milk and water, season with salt and pepper, and add a minced garlic clove. Bring to a boil.
Step 2
Meanwhile, wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into slices about 4–5 mm thick.
Step 3
Place the potatoes in boiling milk, reduce the heat slightly, and cook for 10–15 minutes. Make sure the slices don't fall apart. Drain the potatoes.
Step 4
Grease a baking dish with butter. Arrange the potatoes in the dish. Spread sour cream on top. Add pieces of butter and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 5
Place in the oven for 40 minutes and bake at 356°F.
