Ingredients
- Bread Kvass - 1 cup
- Margarine - 1.8 oz
- Dry yeast - 1 tablespoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 tablespoon
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 4 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the kvass until it is slightly warm.
Step 2
Add the dry yeast, sugar, a little salt, and 3–4 tablespoons of flour. Leave the sponge for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Add melted margarine and the beaten egg to the sponge. Add enough flour to knead the dough.
Step 4
Leave the dough in the refrigerator for 1.5 hours.
Step 5
During this time, boil the potatoes and mash them.
Step 6
Form the pirozhki and fry them in a pan.
