Potato zrazy with cod liver
Ingredients
- Potato - 17.6 oz
- Cod Liver - 4.6 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Chicken Egg - ½ pieces
- Onion - 1 head
- Butter - 2 spoons
- Wheat Flour - 2 spoons
- Salt - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
- Sour Cream - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Peel the potatoes and boil them until tender.
Step 3
Drain the water from the pot, leaving 2–3 tablespoons. Mash the potatoes into a puree.
Step 4
Add an egg, a tablespoon of butter, and salt, and mix thoroughly.
Step 5
Cut the onion into quarters and slice it thinly.
Step 6
In the remaining butter, sauté the onion with the minced garlic for 5 minutes (they should not burn, just become soft).
Step 7
Carefully drain the oil from the cod liver and break it into large pieces.
Step 8
Allow the onion to cool and mix it with the cod liver.
Step 9
Shape the potato mixture into patties about 6 cm in diameter.
Step 10
Place the prepared filling in the center of each, then fold the edges to seal it like a pastry.
Step 11
Coat the patties in flour and fry them in heated vegetable oil for 4 minutes on each side.
Step 12
Serve with herbs and sour cream.
