Description
Stewed potatoes with chicken breast, onions, carrots, mushrooms, and sour cream is an incredibly delicious, tender homemade dish that is easy and quick to prepare.
Ingredients
- Potato - 5 pieces
- Chicken fillet - 7.1 oz
- Onion - 1 piece
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Sour Cream - 3½ spoons
- Salt - to taste
- Spices - to taste
- Canned Truffles - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion. Grate the carrot on a coarse or fine grater—whichever you prefer.
Step 2
Heat vegetable oil (sunflower or olive, your choice) in a heavy-bottomed pot. Add the onion, carrot, and mushrooms, and sauté over medium heat until everything is soft.
Step 3
Wash the chicken fillet and cut it into small cubes. Add the chicken to the pot with the onions and carrots, and cook until the fillet turns white. Stir occasionally, as the pieces of chicken may stick together.
Step 4
Meanwhile, wash and peel the potatoes. Then, cut them into small cubes or sticks. Boil water in a kettle. Next, add the chopped potatoes to the pot with the onions, carrots, mushrooms, and chicken, and pour in the boiling water so that it covers the potatoes. There shouldn't be too much water. Stir well. Cook until the potatoes are soft but not fully cooked yet.
Step 5
At this point, add a few tablespoons of sour cream, season with salt, and add spices. Simmer for a few more minutes until the dish is fully cooked.
