Description
Potatoes with Garlic in Sour Cream
Ingredients
- Potatoes - 3 lbs
- Sour Cream - 2 lbs
- Onion - 2 heads
- Wheat Flour - 0.1 oz
- Butter - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Garlic - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In butter, sauté finely chopped onion (add ground red-black pepper if desired), add 5 tablespoons of flour, stir and quickly pour in 2-3 cups of boiling water, and whisk everything for 2 minutes.
Step 2
Add the sliced potatoes to the same skillet (I personally like to cut the potatoes into medium-thick rings).
Step 3
Pour in the sour cream, and the potatoes should be completely covered with the mixture, so you can add more water if the potatoes are still visible.
Step 4
Season with salt and garlic and cook until done.
Step 5
Cover the skillet with a lid; the sauce should be neither too thin nor too thick.
Step 6
When serving, sprinkle with herbs.
