Description
Pumpkin Dumplings in a Skillet
Ingredients
- Papaya flesh - 1 cup
- Pork fat - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Dough for dumplings - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Knead the dough as for dumplings.
Step 2
Peel the pumpkin flesh and grate it on a coarse grater. Finely chop the onion. Mix everything with the mince, adding salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3
Shape the dumplings (I think it's unnecessary to explain how to shape them).
Step 4
Pour about 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil into the bottom of a skillet (preferably non-stick; if not, preheat it), and place the dumplings in a single layer.
Step 5
Pour cold water until it reaches halfway up the dumplings and place on high heat, covering with a lid. When the water boils, reduce to the lowest heat. When the water evaporates and the dumplings are slightly browned on the bottom (usually this takes 30–40 minutes) — the dumplings are ready.
