Quick Pear Chutney with Walnuts
Ingredients
- Peeled chestnuts - 1.2 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 teaspoon
- Shallot - 1 piece
- Pears - 2 pieces
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 6 tablespoons
- Honey - 3 tablespoons
- Ground clove - 4 pieces
- Light Raisins, Seedless - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 374°F. Spread the walnuts on a baking sheet and roast until golden brown for 7–9 minutes. Let cool and chop coarsely.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the finely chopped shallot and sauté until soft, about 2 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, core the pears and chop them finely.
Step 4
Add the pears, vinegar, honey, and cloves to the onion. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer until soft for 4–5 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the cloves and stir in the raisins and walnuts. Remove from heat. Serve warm.
