Description
A cocktail based on gin is not always a clear gin and tonic. It can be hot, red, and even infused with hibiscus petals. Surprisingly, this completely unconventional interpretation of grog, which is offered at a restaurant called 'The Cozy Corner', unexpectedly results in a very British tea party, though not without a whimsical twist reminiscent of 'Alice in Wonderland'.
Ingredients
- Gin - 2 fl oz
- Hibiscus - 0.1 oz
- Violet Syrup - 1 fl oz
- Water - 13 fl oz
- Meyer Lemon Juice - 0 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour boiling water over the hibiscus in a saucepan and steep for 3 minutes.
Step 2
Add gin, syrup, and lemon juice.
Step 3
Simmer gently without bringing to a boil.
Step 4
Remove from heat and pour into a teapot.
