- Rice - 2 cups
- Onion - 2 heads
- Leek - 1 piece
- Pitted olives - 3.5 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Parsley - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Boil the rice until half-cooked.
Step 2
Peel, wash, and chop the onion, then mix it with the rice.
Step 3
Sauté in half of the vegetable oil until translucent.
Step 4
Divide the resulting mixture into two parts.
Step 5
Wash the leek, finely chop it, season with salt, and mix with the olives.
Step 6
Spread half of the rice mixture evenly in a greased baking dish, top with olives and leek, and cover with the remaining rice mixture.
Step 7
Pour 5 cups of hot water into the dish, sprinkle with pepper, and bake at moderate temperature in the oven for 25 minutes.
Step 8
Before serving, sprinkle with chopped parsley.
