Description
Rice Paper Rolls
Ingredients
- Rice Paper - 5 pieces
- Cream Cheese - 8.8 oz
- Crab Sticks - 3.5 oz
- Sesame Seeds - 1.8 oz
- Cucumber - 1 piece
- Red Caviar - 1.8 oz
- Rice - 7.1 oz
- Rice Vinegar - 2 fl oz
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Sugar - ½ teaspoon
- Cheese - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice, place it in a pot, add water in a ratio of 2 parts water to 1 part rice, let it sit for half an hour, then put it on the stove, cover with a lid, and bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce the heat to low and cook the rice for 15 minutes, then turn off the heat and let the rice sit covered for another 15 minutes.
Step 2
Next, prepare the dressing for the rice using rice vinegar, sugar, and salt; transfer the cooked rice to a large bowl and drizzle with the prepared vinegar dressing.
Step 3
Now for the assembly. Soak a sheet of rice paper in warm water for 20 seconds, place it on a mat, and in the center, spread out the rice. Add any ingredients on top (cheese, I used cream cheese, peeled cucumber, crab stick, you can also add a folded lettuce leaf, or just cheese and caviar, or fish if you have it).
Step 4
Now carefully roll it up using the mat; the rice paper sticks well. After that, I placed the roll in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. The rice paper dried out a bit, making it easier to cut.
Step 5
Optionally, you can sprinkle the rolls with grated cheese or roll them in sesame seeds. Cut them into 8 pieces and it's ready!
