Rice Porridge with Apples
Ingredients
- Rice - 1½ cups
- Apple - 8 pieces
- Water - 2 cups
- Sugar - to taste
- Vanilla salt - to taste
- Butter - 3.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the rice until half done.
Step 2
Wash the apples, remove the cores, and slice them thinly.
Step 3
In a tall pot or skillet, melt the butter and carefully layer the apples, sprinkle with sugar, add a layer of rice, and sprinkle with vanilla. Repeat the layers until the ingredients are used up. The first and last layers should be apples.
Step 4
Cook for 30 minutes until the top layer of apples is done.
