- Rice - 1 cup
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 head
- Chicken fillet - 14.1 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Spiced Tomato Juice - to taste
- Herbs - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice, pour in 1 cup of water, add salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 2
Reduce the heat and cook the rice first over medium heat, then over low heat until all the liquid has evaporated.
Step 3
Rinse the chicken fillet and cut it into thin strips.
Step 4
Peel, wash, and slice the onion into half rings.
Step 5
Peel, wash, and grate the carrot on a coarse grater.
Step 6
Mix the onion and carrot, sauté in vegetable oil, add the chicken fillet, season with salt and pepper, and fry while stirring until cooked through.
Step 7
Add the sautéed chicken with vegetables to the pot with rice, cover the pot with a lid, and cook the porridge for another 20 minutes.
Step 8
Serve with spicy tomato sauce and herbs.
