- Long-Grain Rice - 12.3 oz
- Adyghe cheese - 7.1 oz
- Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Ghee - 1.8 oz
- Butter - 1 tablespoon
- Cardamom - 6 pieces
- Ground clove - 6 pieces
- Canned Mushroom Soup - 3.5 oz
- Salt - 3 teaspoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the rice in cold water, soak for 15 minutes, and drain in a colander.
Step 2
Cut the cheese into cubes measuring 2.5x2.5 cm and fry in heated vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 3
Dissolve the turmeric and 2 teaspoons of salt in a small amount of warm water, add the cheese, and mix.
Step 4
Heat the ghee in a pot over medium heat and fry the crushed cardamom pods and cloves for 1 minute.
Step 5
Add the rice, pour in 950 ml of boiling water, add the remaining salt, and bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 6
Stir the contents of the pot, reduce the heat to low, and cook the porridge for 20 minutes covered.
Step 7
After that, remove the lid and cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow excess water to evaporate.
Step 8
Add the peas, cheese cubes, and butter to the porridge.
Step 9
Before serving, gently stir with a cooking fork.
