- Lentils - 1 cup
- Rice - 1 cup
- Clarified Butter - 3 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste

Sort the lentils, rinse them, and soak in warm water for 4–5 hours.
Step 2
Then drain the water, rinse the lentils, add 4 cups of water, place on low heat, and cook until half done.
Step 3
Rinse the rice, add it to the lentils along with the butter and salt, tightly cover the pot with a lid, and cook at a strong boil for 3 minutes.
Step 4
After that, cook the porridge for 7 minutes on medium heat and 3 minutes on low heat.
Step 5
Remove the pot and let the porridge sit covered for 12 minutes.
Step 6
This porridge can be served as a standalone dish or as a side dish with meat.
