Rice with herbs and citrus aroma

Ingredients

  • Cilantro leaves - 2.5 oz
  • Parsley leaves - 1.2 oz
  • White Onion - ¼ head
  • Minced garlic - 1 clove
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste
  • Olive Oil - 1 teaspoon
  • Rice - 1 cup
  • Freshly squeezed lime juice - 1 tablespoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Blend cilantro, parsley, onion, garlic, and 1.5 cups of water in a blender.

Step 2

Season with salt and pepper, and blend until smooth.

Step 3

In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat, add the rice, and stir well.

Step 4

You can add herbs if desired.

Step 5

Bring the rice to a boil, cover with a lid, and cook until all the water is absorbed.

Step 6

Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit for about 15 minutes.

Step 7

Add the lime juice. Serve the rice with herbs.
