Rice with Sausages and Bacon

Ingredients

  • Rice - 0.9 oz
  • Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
  • Bacon - 5.3 oz
  • Sausages - 4 pieces
  • Green peppercorns - 1 piece
  • Celery stalk - 2 pieces
  • Onion - 1 piece
  • Olives stuffed with lemon - 1.8 oz
  • Soy Sauce - to taste
  • Salt - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Prepare the rice: In a pot of boiling unsalted water, add the rice, stir with a wooden spatula, and cook on high heat for 12-15 minutes until the rice is tender. Drain the rice in a large colander and rinse well under cold water. Let the water drain.

Step 2

While the rice is cooking, prepare the other ingredients: Cut the bacon into strips and the sausages into 4 pieces each. Remove the seeds from the pepper and cut it into cubes. Dice the onion and slice the celery thinly. Halve the olives and remove the pits.

Step 3

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet, add the bacon and sausages, and cook, stirring, for 5-6 minutes until they are golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove all the meat from the skillet and set aside. Add the pepper, celery, and onion to the skillet and cook, stirring, for 5-8 minutes until the vegetables are soft. Add the olives and return the meat to the skillet.

Step 4

Add the rice to the skillet, mix well, drizzle with soy sauce, and heat thoroughly. Taste and add salt if needed. Serve immediately.
