Ingredients
- Pork Neck - 1 piece
- Beer - 1 qt
- Garlic - 1 head
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Green peppercorns - to taste
- Salt - to taste
- Onion - 2 heads
- Honey - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger - 0.5 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Sugar - 0.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the pork hock, preferably the front leg, dry it with a towel, make diagonal cuts on the skin in a cross pattern, rub with salt and pepper, add chopped onion, and pour in the beer. Let it marinate for 2–4 hours.
Step 2
Remove from the marinade, rinse lightly, and boil for 1 hour.
Step 3
Season the boiled hock with pepper, salt, ginger to taste, and stuff it with garlic, then place it in a preheated oven for 40–45 minutes at a temperature of 180–374°F.
Step 4
After 45 minutes, take the hock out of the oven, brush it with a mixture of soy sauce and honey, and return it to the oven for 15–20 minutes to form a crust.
