Roasted Tomato Sauce

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes - 5 pieces
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Fresh basil leaves - 3 teaspoons
  • Paprika - 1 tablespoon
  • Apple Wine - 3 fl oz
  • Olive Oil - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Prepare medium tomatoes and wash them well.

Make cross-shaped cuts with a knife.

Line a baking sheet with foil, place the tomatoes on it, and drizzle with olive oil.

Generously sprinkle with salt and dried basil. Preheat the oven to 392°F and roast the tomatoes for 40 minutes.

Remove the roasted tomatoes from the oven and let them cool slightly.

Use a knife to separate the skin from the flesh.

Place the peeled tomatoes in a container and puree with an immersion blender.
