Clean the meat from membranes and tendons. Cut across the grain into portion-sized pieces about 1.5—2 cm thick, pound, season with salt and pepper, dip in an egg wash (a mixture of egg with a small amount of water or milk), and coat in breadcrumbs.
Step 2
Fry the rump steak in a hot skillet with oil at 338°F on both sides until a crust forms, then finish cooking in the oven. Check for doneness by piercing with a fork — it should go in easily, and the juice that comes out should be clear.
Step 3
Serve the rump steak on a plate, drizzled with melted butter. For a side dish, you can use fluffy grains, boiled legumes, fried eggplant, or potatoes. Additionally, serve fresh or canned vegetables.
