Description
You can completely replace the salad with napa cabbage or vice versa — the salad with cabbage, it also turns out delicious. A baguette can be replaced with a regular loaf of bread. If you don't like a strong garlic smell, you can omit the garlic in the salad and make garlic croutons instead. There shouldn't be too much napa cabbage and salad in relation to the cheese, so we use small bunches.
Ingredients
- Corn Salad - 1 bunch
- Cheese Spread - 5.3 oz
- Napa Cabbage - 1 head
- French Baguette - 1 piece
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Meyer Lemon Juice - to taste
- Mayonnaise - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop the salad and cabbage, grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Mix everything together, adding a little salt.
Step 2
Cut a few slices of the baguette into cubes, place them in a hot skillet greased with sunflower or olive oil. Keep on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the bread turns into croutons. You can add salt and pepper. It's better to make the croutons not too hard, so they are easier to eat.
Step 3
Add garlic to the salad (it's better to use a garlic press for mincing), a little lemon juice (lime juice can be used, it's even tastier), and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly, portion out, and sprinkle with croutons on top.
