Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the bell peppers in a preheated oven at 356°F, using the grill function, for 20 minutes.
Step 2
Slice the onion into thin strips, peel the cucumbers and cut them into half-moons. Roughly chop the basil. Remove the pepper from the oven, peel off the skin, and slice it into thin strips.
Step 3
For the dressing, mix together soy sauce, lemon juice, orange juice, sesame oil, chili flakes, sugar, and a blend of pepper.

Lightly toast the sesame seeds in a pan. Combine the prepared vegetables with the dressing.
Step 5
Mix the tempura batter with water in a 1:1 ratio and add turmeric. The consistency should be similar to pancake batter.
Step 6
Cut the tofu into large cubes, coat them in cornstarch, then dip them in tempura batter and fry in hot oil until golden brown.
Step 7
Place the sautéed tofu on a bed of salad, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve immediately.
