Description
If you like, you can add mayonnaise. But it was delicious even without it! The next day, I used the salad as a filling for a sandwich, placing it on top of slices of tomato. I think I will try making a salad with cold-smoked salmon.
Ingredients
- Imitation Crab - 8.8 oz
- Pickled Apples - 1 piece
- Hot smoked pink salmon - 3.5 oz
- Lemon - ½ piece
- Fresh basil leaves - 1.2 oz
- Arugula - 1.2 oz
- Onion - ¼ head
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the bowl where the salad will be. I use very ripe lemons, so there is a lot of juice.
Step 2
Peel and core the apple, then grate it on a coarse grater and immediately add it to the lemon juice. Mix well. This is to prevent the apple from browning.
Step 3
Add finely chopped onion to the salad. Mix well.
Step 4
Cut the imitation crab into pieces. I prefer it finely chopped. Mix well.
Step 5
Add the hot-smoked salmon, broken into pieces. I think you can use very good canned smoked salmon, as the texture is similar. I add a spoon or two of the salmon's liquid.
Step 6
Add torn young spinach and arugula leaves. Mix well.
